Grilled CHEE-L-T

Sundays are the day that my family usually does the grocery shopping, and grilled cheese sandwiches are not out of the ordinary for lunch.  Something the whole family can enjoy.  From time to time, I have been known
to get a little bit adventurous in my grilled cheese recipes.  Adding different types of cheese or sprinkling Red Robin Seasoning to the bread has become fairly commonplace.  This week, my beautiful wife suggested BLT's for lunch.  With that in mind....the first Chee L T was birthed on my stovetop.

STEP 1:  TWO SLICES PLUS MAYO
Self explanatory.  Go easy on the mayo.  We are adding alot of stuff to this puppy!  Never fear.  We will make it plenty greasy.

STEP 2:  CHEESE AND BACON
Note that I use one piece of cheese on each slice of bread PLUS one bonus slice of cheese with bacon on both sides of it.  I used American Cheese, but get creative.

STEP 3:  ADD THE L AND THE T

STEP 4:  THE TRICKY PART
Buttering the outside of the bread was tricky.  I had to do one side, put that side down on the pan, and then butter the top while it was in the frying pan.  I burnt off some knuckle hair and almost lost a finger.  Worth it in the end.

STEP 5:  EAT UP

This thing is pretty amazing.  Try it out and let me know what you think!
